Research Groups

The Centre hosts three parallel research groups each year. Each group comprises widely recognised, outstanding researchers from Norway and abroad who are invited to spend up to a year doing research at the Centre. Altogether, 40 to 45 scholars spend time at the Centre each year.

Each group is planned and organised around a unifying theme and is headed by one or two researchers from participating Norwegian institutions.

The three research groups are chosen from the following fields:

  • The Natural sciences/Medicine/Mathematics
  • The Humanities/Theology
  • The Social sciences/Law
